LocationOur site is on the edge of the community of Indianola in the northern part of the Kitsap Peninsula. We are an easy 3/4-mile walk from the center of the community -- the Indianola Store, the community's Clubhouse, the dock and community beach, and a little park that hosts the "Saturday market," the Indianola Days salmon bake, and other events. Statistics about Indianola... Indianola is an uncorporated community within the Port Madison Reservation of the Suquamish Tribe. In the early 1900s, Indianola was a summertime beach community. The primary mode of transportation was by boat. The "Mosquito Fleet" provided much of the public transportation around Puget Sound. Regular boat service was discontinued in the 1950s. More about the Mosquito Fleet... Kitsap Transit offers public transportation to Indianola via bus #91. |
